Photo: Emily Russell Mar 10, 2023 — After three years without passenger train service in the eastern Adirondacks, Amtrak plans to resume the Adirondack line on April 3. Service on the northern portion of the Adirondack line, between Albany and Montreal, was halted in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The passenger rail line between New York City and Albany continued to run during the pandemic. Amtrak will resume full service on April 3, according to federal officials.
